Eli has a general litigation practice with focus on insurance and business litigation.

Eli has extensive experience in most aspects of insurance law, including:

  • Defending litigants who have no insurance coverage for a claim
  • Coverage opinions
  • Representing consumers who wish to challenge decisions made by their insurance company

Eli has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in many areas of litigation including:

  • Slip/trip and fall
  • Bar/Tavern/intoxication cases
  • Motor vehicle accidents
  • Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal right to sue applications
  • Medical malpractice

Eli's business experience has also enabled him to develop a practice representing business owners, partners, and others who are involved in partnership disputes, non-payment or repudiation of contracts, and related matters. Eli has appeared in various courts including Superior Court, Divisional Court, Federal Court and even the Tax Court of Canada, where he represented a small business owner and recovered $930,000.00 from the CRA in respect of denied GST input credits.
